COST OPTIMIZATION
Buying low cost HFO, blending it with a low viscosity product (i.e. MGO) and then supplying the correct ISO8217 viscosity and volumetric quantity at the time of delivery, results in considerable savings in product cost compared to pre-blended products from a terminal.
The constantly growing requirement for high quality bunker products have increased the demand for control of the production parameters like Viscosity, Density and Temperature.
This control can be accomplished by using the CBI In-line Bunker Monitor, which has the added benefit of securing exact volumetric delivery of the product.
There are many advantages of the CBI Bunker Monitoring system, including:

The CBI Mechanical Fuel Blender is an exact and reliable blending device, which is easy to operate by any operator on board of a Bunker Barge or at an Oil Terminal.
The unit offers reduced maintenance cost as a Mechanical Fuel Blender will last for 10-15 years without replacement of any parts.
Because the CBI Mechanical Fuel Blender has no electrical parts, it can be placed in any environment whether Refinery, Terminal, Vessel or on a Bunker Barge.
If a Bunker monitor with electronic registration of IFO viscosity and temperature is added, it is possible to obtain very accurate fuel blending with high savings as a result.
The Flexblender is the most sophisticated CBI blending unit. The blender includes a computerized data system with online data transfer to the control room.
The Flexblender is either a Skid Mounted Unit being tailor made to meet customer requirements with the required Bunker Blending and Metering systems installed. Or it is custom fitted into a CSC approved Standard 10' or 20' container.
When the Flexblender is to be placed on board a Vessel or a Bunker Barge, the container lockers are included.
