A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM

The CBI In-Line Blending systems are available in many different configurations. From a manually operated system to the self contained Flexblender™ which is a highly advanced, fully automated, computer controlled Blending and Metering system with optional add on's i.e. the Delivery Note ticket printer.

BLENDING

The blending of two or more fluids at a predetermined ratio to produce a finished product is a common operation in the Oil industry.

ON-BOARD IN-LINE BLENDING

On a Bunker Barge the On-Board In-Line blending is a controlled, continuous mixing of two components in a device that secures the correct composition conforming to ISO8217 and in accordance with the predefined settings.
This procedure can now take place during the actual delivery to the customer vessel.
In-line blending reduces the blending time and is a quick and easy process with no extra need for the costly on-board tank storage that is necessary when doing batch blending. Furthermore you avoid mixing the excess product volume that is often the result of batch blending operation.
With the improved flexibility of In-Line Blending you can supply a wide range of products to your customers independent of time and place.

METERING

We use Positive Displacement (PD) Flow Meters. These are the most accurate and reliable meters for measuring the volumes to be transferred from one storage to another.

The PD meter is the preferred choice of instrument by all parties to document STS transfer and Physical bunkering to avoid getting involved in disputes and claims.

THE RIGHT SPECIFICATIONS

Blending the correct viscosity Marine Fuel conforming to the exact specification of ISO8217 is important not only for the performance and maintenance of your customers engines but also for the cost of the product.

The successful operation of a bunker barge largely depends on efficient use and cost containment. and supplying the right product quality and quantity at the right time and place.

Heavy Duty Pumping Units

The Heavy Duty Pumps are reliable and cost efficient pumps, which are often used as booster pumps on board Bunker Barges and at the Oil Terminals.

They are easy to install and fit into existing installations and can be operated by gear and electrical motor. This gives two speeds. Either frequency regulated or hydraulic driven.

The pumps can be supplied with explosion proof motors, if the environment requires this.

We can also design and supply Suction Filters for maximum performance and protection of the pump.

Heavy Duty PD Flow meters

We have chosen Positive Displacement Flow Meters based on many years of practical experience.
The key advantages of PD Flow Meters are:

  • Flow control
  • Accuracy
  • Readings
  • Cost efficiency
  • Worldwide maintenance

The accurate and reliable PD Flow meter operates even with products of high viscosity and at low temperatures.

The PD Flow Meters have low maintenance cost and rare failures, if operated correctly. The lack of filters can cause particles entering the rotor.

Blending

In-line blending is a controlled, continuous process, mixing two components during the delivery to the Customer.

In-line blending offer some major benefits, when producing high quality blended products.

  • Less storage space (tank capacity)
  • No surplus taking up space and capital
  • Wider range of products "in-line"
  • Just-in-time delivery
  • High flexibility
  • Less waste
  • Accurate delivery of quantity and quality

We offer a complete range of Automated Fuel Blending Systems, covering a wide range of applications, with flow rates meeting the requirements and demands of the Bunker Industry.
